Fast Track for Faster Review
The Journal of Central Asian Studies does not offer a Fast Track service for authors who wish to receive quicker reviews and decisions on their submitted articles. The journal does not prioritize any article to expedite the review process.
Author(s) can expect to receive initial feedback on the preliminary review within three working days of submission. The peer review process may take anywhere from 14 working days to two months.
Steps of the Review Track Process:
1. Article Submission: Author(s) submit their manuscript through the system and receive an automatic notification confirming receipt.
2. Preliminary Review (within three working days): The managing editor assesses the manuscript for compliance with the journal's aims, scope, and manuscript requirements.
3. Peer Review (14 working days to 2 months): The manuscript is sent to qualified reviewers for evaluation.
4. Author Revisions (5 to 10 working days): If reviewers request changes, author(s) must either make the revisions or provide reasonable refutations. When submitting a revised manuscript, author(s) should include a file that contains responses to all reviewers’ comments, explaining the changes made to the manuscript.
5. Final Decision: After revisions, the manuscript is re-evaluated, and a final decision is made regarding its acceptance or rejection.
Notes:
1. If the author(s) do not receive a confirmation email after submission, the submission is incomplete.
2. The confirmation email does not guarantee that the manuscript will be accepted for publication.
3. The duration of the editorial process depends on how quickly the author(s) or reviewers respond to revisions requested during the peer review stages.
